Why Analytics Counts Do Not Match

Two screens can show different counts without either being broken because they measure different events, people, statuses, or time windows.

Where to find it: the relevant Analytics, CRM, Live, or campaign report

What to do

  1. Set the same timezone and date range.
  2. Clear filters and compare the exact metric definition.
  3. Check whether the screen counts sessions, visitors, contacts, messages, or events.
  4. Account for anonymous visitors and later identity matching.
  5. Use an example record and timestamp when asking Help.

Good to know

  • Live activity is temporary; historical reporting is processed differently.
  • Email sent, delivered, opened, and clicked are separate counts.
